OUR SPACES

At Schédio we typically complete over a dozen projects every year. We work in both commercial and residential markets on projects with a wide range of scope, scale and budget. Here you can explore a few of our favourite completed projects over the years. Make sure to check back regularly as we have several large projects completing soon (some years in the making) that we’re really excited to share with you.

Windsor Street

Nestled in a quaint neighbourhood, this century-old Vancouver home underwent a meticulous renovation to address structural deficiencies and the outdated layout. Months of dedicated work revitalized every corner, ensuring the home's rich character was preserved while seamlessly integrating modern comforts.

The kitchen, once segregated by dated structures, now boasts a seamless flow, accentuated by a half-moon peninsula clad in reeded white oak and adorned with suspended shelving. Natural Italian marble, modern lighting, and integrated appliances harmonizes old-world charm with contemporary sensibilites. Meanwhile, a cozy breakfast nook invites moments of tranquility and connection, with hidden storage beneath bespoke banquette seating and a custom-crafted table.

This project also includes a show stopping textural bathroom with hidden storage, a dreamy child’s room with custom build-ins, a brand new living room and fireplace and an inviting entry.

JUN Studio

Located in Vancouver's picturesque South Granville neighborhood, this modern beauty salon was masterfully designed to combine luxury with comfort. The space is a tribute to handcrafted and custom-made pieces, combined with an elevated and organic 'Tulum-meets-Florence' aesthetic.

Natural light floods through the oversized southwest-facing windows and creates a sun-kissed glow that illuminates the soft, textural element of natural lime wash paint used throughout the salon.

Pacific Promenade

Towering over the beach district of Downtown Vancouver, this three-bedroom penthouse felt dark and awkward as it had not been updated in over 20 years, leaving a complete rebuild as the only logical way forward.

The clients are hoping to welcome a child in the years to come, however they love to entertain so also wanted a modern and sophisticated space. Therefore, the task became marrying functional indestructibility with clean, elevated design, resulting in a timeless, architecturally forward home with sensible storage and innovated finishes.

Cambridge Palace

This two-bedroom condo on a beautiful cherry blossom lined street in Mount Pleasant was in desperate need of a complete redesign. The kitchen was entirely enclosed and nearly inoperable with less than a single foot of functional counter space.

The unit’s orientation invited ample natural light into the space, which created an ever-changing dance of intensity in shadows. This inspired much of the conceptual design for the project and we enhanced this by exploiting negative space.

Ultimately, we created an open flow space with alluring warmth and textural accents that brought striking visual interest and tempted you to explore and interact with the space in innovative and unexpected ways.

E4th Ave

The design concept behind this open plan, two story loft, was to condense all the elements of an architecturally significant home into a reduced physical footprint. The angular shadows shaped by the sunlight streaming in from the upper floor, intuitively guided the conceptual design for this project. Utilizing intersecting lines and combing distinctive colours, enhanced the juxtaposing spirits between a strong crispness and an ethereal tranquillity.

1500 Hornby

Towering over the streets of the beach district in downtown Vancouver, this condo had not been touched since its inception in the mid 80’s. Removing the walls in the main living area corrected the proportions of the kitchen so it could operate more meaningfully for a family and increased the sightline to the stunning city views. Further elevating the space was our selection of quality hardware and fixtures from several independent artisans. Pairing these with the flawless workmanship and attention to detail found in all the custom Schédio pieces, the entire project felt effortlessly refined.

Spuraway Garden

Set in the forests of West Vancouver this original unit from 1967 needed a complete overhaul, so that’s exactly what it got. We took it down to the studs, moved (and removed) walls and started from scratch to create a beautiful modern space with architectural lines and a west coast contemporary feel.

Woodland Park

This character house was built over 100 years ago and had been patch renovated at least half a dozen times. Unfortunately that left a very disjointed, awkward and outdated floor plan that was begging for the Schedio touch. We gutted the bathroom to the studs and started fresh, knocked down walls in the kitchen to create an open flow, changed the floors, swapped the cabinet colour, new counter tops, paint, the whole meal deal.

Victoria Park

This space had been neglected in a big way before we got our hands on it. Not only was it filthy but it also had a very closed off and un-optimized floorplan. We completely rebuilt it, relocating both the bedroom and bathroom doors allowing the hallway to be converted into a 5 piece bathroom and opening up the kitchen to create a more functional living space.

King Edward Village

Sometimes a flood is a blessing in disguise… In this case, an unexpected flood meant this space got the attention it less obviously needed for years. We replaced the damage and gave it a full facelift while we were at it. New floors, trim, doors, hardware, updated bathrooms and completely custom new kitchen left this space looking brand spanking new!

Kits House

We took this newly built house in the heart of Kitsilano and turned it into an inviting modern home for a beautiful couple with a baby on the way. Strong lines juxtapose beautifully with soft textures to create a dynamic space with an effortlessly cool vibe.

Seymour Loft

We gave this two story loft a quick, cheap and cheerful facelift to get it ready for a strong price on the real estate market. Utilizing as much of the existing finishes as possible we reimagined and repurposed the space giving it a fresh, clean and appealing aesthetic.

4th Street Loft

Loft spaces are insanely cool, but can also present challenges for storage and functionality. This loft had both issues so we overhauled it, creating incredibly cool, transformable, multi function pieces that served a variety of purposes. It was a truly unique space and any loft lovers dream.
